MYSTIC PLACE

This San Francisco couple came to me as new homeowners ready to transition their casual style into something more elevated and refined.

We began by staining the cherry floors in dark java to create a sophisticated backdrop for large-scale furniture to fill the space. Then, we leaned into levity and “touchability” with patterns and pops of color. In the family room, a plush luxury sofa is balanced by reupholstered accent chairs. In the eat-in kitchen, a crisp white table is juxtaposed against a custom banquette seat in deep forest green.

The final result is a perfect example of how high-end furniture paired with sensible finishes can make a spacious home feel warm and well-funded.
